DeLonghi infusers have internal gaskets that deteriorate after a few years and diminish the performance of your machine. These infusers are rebuildable, but we no longer recommend doing it yourself due to the severe damage I’ve seen done to several machines when the infusers were reassembled improperly by well-intentioned users. If you’re experiencing excessive coffee grounds messes under the infuser, very weak coffee, and groaning sounds from the transmission as it cycles, it may be time to install a freshly serviced infuser. These refurbished infusers have been ultrasonically cleaned, lubricated, and new gaskets installed. This infuser will fit all DeLonghi fully automatic models that install the infuser from the front. ECAM models, which install the infuser from the right side behind the water tank, use a different infuser and are not compatible with this one.
